Today, on World Quality Day, we want to share the functions and importance of one of the fundamental pillars for SC Herrajes, our quality department.
Since the founding of the company in 1995, we have firmly held that quality is not just a department or a stage in the production process, but a work philosophy, a commitment to our customers and to ourselves.
Our quality policy:
We are very aware of the importance for our customers of the quality of the products they receive, so we have created the following guidelines:
- Establishment, control and maintenance of the highest levels of quality at all stages of the production process.
- To supply products that meet all the requirements of our customers, as well as the legal requirements and guaranteeing the highest quality.
- Establish a dynamic of continuous improvement of the quality system.
- Guarantee to all workers the level of training, motivation and technical means necessary for the efficient development of their activities.
- To achieve the commitment of all members of SC Herrajes with the company’s Quality Policy and to develop a participative Quality Management.
- Promote communication with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders, fostering relationships with them and encouraging their involvement.
- Continuously adapt to a changing environment and offer innovative products that help to achieve a constant improvement of the company’s image.
The quality process at SC Herrajes:
Every product that leaves our facilities undergoes rigorous quality testing and verification.
Each pallet of product is carefully checked by our professionals in order to avoid the sale of a defective product.
Different aspects are checked, from the absence of any scratches or flaws to the color of the piece being exactly the right one.

Moreover, our quality department carries out controls on all the processes involved in the manufacture and assembly of our products.
The quality manager must ensure that the activities involved in these processes are carried out properly, in addition to carrying out an intermediate inspection during each of these processes.
In addition, we carry out an exhaustive maintenance of both the infrastructure and the tools and machinery used by our team.

A design control is also carried out on each and every part and hardware manufactured and patented by SC Herrajes. Every design process carries out the following processes:
A design and development planning document is prepared, where the stages and dates foreseen for its implementation are programmed.
The design is carried out taking into account different requirements, needs, objectives or references set at the starting point.
Finally, the product is meticulously checked from drawings to labeling. Then, the technical director together with the quality department verifies that the results coming from the factory meet the requirements and therefore the product can be entered and sold.
Thanks to this procedure and involvement, we are ISO 9001 certified, which proves our constant and evolving commitment to the quality of our products.
