One of the great values with which we currently work from Sc herrajes is our commitment to the environment. We are conscious of taking small steps towards sustainability. One of our latest incorporations has been the bronze PVD finish, which stands out not only for its unique and innovative color but also for being a totally ecological process.
PVD is a technique that provides great technical qualities to the finish such as rigidity and high resistance to corrosion, abrasion and wear. All these characteristics are given thanks to the industrial finishing process and the materials used.
PVD or DFV is called Physical Vapor Deposition and is a clean process that does not require the use of toxic contaminants. It is performed through the evaporation of the source material (finish) in a vacuum environment at high temperatures. This is transported to the substrate (the object to be coated) in a gas phase or plasma state where it condenses to generate a homogeneous and highly adherent film. As no chemicals are used in the process, no residues are generated and as a consequence no environmentally polluting substances are released.
